Mixed

Mixed curling takes place on Thursday night with draws at 7:00pm and 9:15pm. First night of curling will be in early October. We accept 40 teams divided in 4 divisions (so we can accommodate teams at different skill levels). Teams play one week at 7:00pm and the next at 9:15pm. Mixed curling teams are made of 2 men and 2 women playing in alternate positions (man-woman-man-woman or woman-man-woman-man). Registration starts in early August but you can always reach us and be put in our waitlist. Any team or individual(s) interested in joining our league should contact Rick Kuzmiski at rdkuzmi@telus.net  The cost for the 2018-19 season is $300/player for the first 4 players and $50/player for 5th and 6th registered player (if a team chooses to register more than 4 players). Each team is guaranteed 21 games during the season. To get more information about our league or to be put onto our Spares list, please contact Rick Kuzmiski at  rdkuzmi@telus.net

ARC Youth Curling

The ARC Youth Curling program is for kids age 7 (8 by or before Dec 31) to 20, from beginner to advanced, with coaches to suit all abilities. Our coaches are Trained Club Coach level or higher. We run 16 sessions on Saturday mornings from 10:30am to 12:30pm beginning right after Thanksgiving and ending about mid March. We will be starting Oct 13 this year. We provide brooms and sliders for those who require them. Participants are required to provide: clean indoor shoes (or their own curling shoes), loose fitting athletic pants (no jeans preferred), light jacket over a couple of light layers, gloves or mitts, and maybe a toque or other hat. It can be chilly at the ARC on Saturday mornings. They can also bring their own brooms if they have one.

* We also strongly encourage beginner curlers to wear a helmet. While not mandatory through Curling Canada yet, they strongly endorse the use of helmets for kids under 12 or anyone at a higher risk of falling. A bike, ski, skateboard or hockey helmet is adequate.

The fee for the 2018/2019 season is $155.00. We are always looking for parents to help out. Cleaning brooms, attendance, helping with funspiels, on ice or even becoming a coach are very important to our program.
